Can I include internet-based images (img tag with href set to a URL on the internet) in .epub, .mobi and Amazon-encrypted mobi? I always found documentation online that you can include images with relative paths, but never a URL. One of the use cases I see is that I can enhance cover images etc. and it will update automatically without me having to make the files again. Will ebook readers support it?

Because ebook readers are generally low-power devices, and WiFi is often shut to conserve power or simply not available, I'd avoid online resources even if they are theoretically allowed. Sep 2 at 21:05
