I have a large (~200MB) image-heavy epub file that I want to convert to a <20MB mobi file. Following the advice in the answers to this question I am able to reduce the epub file size to <20MB by using Calibre's epub edit feature to compress images. However, as soon as I convert to mobi the file size balloons.
How can I keep the mobi file size small?
