I’m reading through this book this evening and came to a new icon I never seen before as seen in the screenshot below:

Upon clicking it I’m taken to this other view of the table which has this independent window with its title bar thing as well as a scroll area that is not bound by the page divisions of the original text.

What is this feature properly known as and what sorts of content typically receives this treatment?

  • are you sure this is not simply an image which is enlarged? One way to know for sure that this is NOT the case is if the footnotes actually are links. Do you know? – idiotprogrammer Aug 3 '18 at 2:39
